North American Fishermans Derby

The NAF Winner with a 32 lb Tyee (Chinook Salmon over 30 lbs)

Shearwater Resort & Marina would like to invite you to fish the 2012 North American Fishing Derby. We have selected the prime date of August 13~17. This date was chosen because both large Chinook and big northern Coho will be prowling the fishing grounds as well as Halibut, Ling Cod, Snapper and Rock fish.

In 2011 anglers enjoyed beautiful weather and great fishing with lots of Chinook and Coho topping 19lbs. Last years lucky winner was Pat Higuchi of San Jose, California. Pat caught a beautiful, chrome 32lb Chinook to win the trophy for the largest Chinook. Way to go Pat !

There will be a $50.00 buy-in. Prizes include daily cash awards for the largest Chinook, largest Coho and a daily hidden weight prize. We will also put every ones name in a hat and the lucky angler picked will receive a FREE trip on next years derby ! The prize list will continue to grow as the trip gets closer.
