And we are not stopping, as each and every year we, along with insight from our customers, look for new services and attractions to implement at Shearwater.

Grocery Store

Shearwater opened a new 1500 sq foot grocery store in 2005. We offer a wide selection of quality foods and supplies. Our regular freight service ensures that we are always well stocked with fresh items. Visitors and locals alike can be confident that their shopping needs will be met with competitive prices and excellent service.

Liquor Store

New in 2005, the liquor store is located in the newly renovated grocery store. We carry a wide selection of liquor, beer and wine, all priced the same as any other liquor store in the province.



Hardware Store

Shearwater’s Marine and Hardware store offers an incredibly wide selection of products given our remote location. A good selection of both Salmon and Halibut fishing tackle is available. We even offer electronics sales and service. In the unlikely event that we don’t have exactly what you need, your specialty item can be special ordered and often received the next day by air freight, if necessary.

Laundromat

Shearwater opened a brand new laundromat and shower facility in the Spirit building in 2004. Our high quality self serve machines are coin operated and offer large capacity to get the job done quickly. This facility offers a comfortable sitting area for you to relax and take in the view while you are waiting. Or choose our same day wash, dry and fold laundry service so that you may enjoy your time out salmon fishing or on an eco adventure.

Our shower facilities are also coin operated and kept to a high standard of cleanliness.


Rosie's

Rosie's is a full service hair salon situated in the Spirit Building, offering hair cuts, highlights, massage, products, etc… they offer pretty much everything that you can find in any other hair salon in your home town.
