Central Coast Freight Service

Departs from Vancouver & Port Hardy to Smith sound, Rivers Inlet, Hakai Pass, Burke Channel, Shearwater, Bella Bella, Ocean Falls and Klemtu.

Shearwater Marine Group’s freight department, Sea Island Terminals offers a scheduled freight service, including cooler and freezer service from Richmond B.C. to port hardy, which is put on our barge and transported up through Fitz Hugh Sound delivering all the way up to Klemtu.

The Service is provided by two 53’ reefer units that depart our Richmond depot (Sea Island Terminals Unit 115 6086 Russ Baker Way) and head up to Port Hardy (6290 Jensen Cove Road) to be loaded onto our power barge. From there, stopping at destinations along the way such as Smith Sound, Rivers Inlet, Hakai Pass, Burke Channel, Shearwater, Bella Bella, Ocean Falls and Klemtu.



The Barge service is also capable of servicing logging camps, fishing camps, small waypoints along the way.
